Offline mail reading / replying in the QWK format has become a standard method of processing mail from a bulletin board system (BBS). This is beneficial to you because your online time is kept to a minimum allowing you to read and reply to messages at your own convenience.

Then at your leisure, you can read and/or reply to messages contained in the QWK packet using an Offline Mail Reader. The offline Mail Reader will open the downloaded packet so you can read and reply.
